DESIGN
We are systems integrators, adept at developing or expanding your manufacturing systems to meet production goals. We have over 700+ in-house design professionals dedicated to creating innovative and effective solutions for our clients.
PROCUREMENT
Our team can help procure all the equipment needed to execute your manufacturing system, including long-lead items. We also perform factory acceptance tests and ensure that your equipment is functioning as expected upon delivery.
INSTALLATION, STARTUP, & COMMISSIONING
Haskell is unique in that our team not only designs complex manufacturing systems, they also see each project through to completion by going into the field to execute installation, startup, commissioning, and training for the system operators.
CONSTRUCTION & EXECUTION
We can also self-perform critical parts of the manufacturing and construction project execution, including concrete foundations and tilt-up walls, steel fabrication, and mechanical rigging and pipe fitting.
SYSTEM ANALYTICS
Whether you’re building a new manufacturing line or expanding an existing line, our System Analytics team can gather and analyze critical data to help you make decisions. We can generate digital replicas of your line to test different equipment options,
or utilize advanced analytics to calculate the most efficient approach to changeovers and other production bottlenecks.
UNPACK OUR
SKINNY CAN LINE INSTALLATION
The team’s strategic focus on critical path requirements ensured successful installation, startup, and production goals to meet customer demand for a new product launch. The line went from concept to production in record-breaking time.
- Wort batching system designed to feed 6 - 500 BBL fermentation tanks.
- Highly automated ingredient blending and concentrate batching system with mix proof valve matrix.
- Inline blending system with integrated carbonator and alcohol monitoring.
- Highly flexible customized flash pasteurizer.
- 95 head, 12 oz sleek can filler capable of 1,200 cans per minute. Integrated auto lid feed system and refurbished seamer.
- Dual high speed full body inline sleevers and steam shrink tunnels with vision inspection systems.
- Tray shrink packer and high speed palletizer.
SPIRITS/SELTZER GREENFIELD FACILITY
1.4 MM SF Greenfield facility for the processing, packaging, warehousing, and distribution of spirits and seltzer beverages.
- The site was roughly 600 acres with the northern 300 being developed day one, and the southern 300 left for future campus expansion.
- The site development involved extensive tree clearing, 2.4 MM CY of
earthmoving, stream relocations, road construction, and rail construction.
- The facility was an insulated concrete tilt-up wall
shell, with conventional steel framing.
- The packaging scope included three production lines -
one for cans, one for glass, and one for PET.
FLUID MILK PRODUCTION FACILITY
Haskell’s engineers utilized best-in-class standards and materials for a dairy facility. In addition, the plant layout was made to accommodate future expansion and included utility systems capable of handling significantly larger loads than the original facility required. Subsequently, Hood and Haskell evaluated the utilities and were able to accommodate the fluid dairy requirements with minimal utility additions.
- Converted an existing cultured dairy products facility to produce and package fluid milk for extended shelf-life dairy beverages.
- Utilized a mix of new and old control systems elements.
- Enhanced the facility’s CIP systems using turbidity sensors.
- Employed laser scans to map existing equipment within the plant.
- Re-used selected equipment for cost effectiveness.
- Created a digital twin simulation model to assess and mitigate system conflicts prior to startup.
SCHEDULE OPTIMIZATION
FOR PAPER MANUFACTURER
Scope: Paper products manufacturer wanted to optimize run time on a shared asset.
Challenge: Shared production asset feeds 7 packaging lines to produce various.
Outcome: Previous production plan prioritized minimizing changeovers. Haskell’s analysis factored in changeover and ramp-up times and showed that splitting SKUs improved overall utilization.
Value: Saved over $600,000 annually by improving available production hours.
