- Haskell collaborates with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to design and construct new temples around the world utilizing many of the same innovative principles that we practice in our other markets. - In addition to self-performing most of the concrete work on the building structures, Haskell oversees all of the high quality finishes inside each temple including Level 5 dry wall finishes, Portuguese limestone facades, custom chandeliers, art glass installations, bronze railings, and other high end features. - An emphasis is placed on hiring local for each country in which Haskell builds a temple for the Church. For example, for the Barranquilla, Colombia temple, much of the millwork, stonework, and metal handrails were fabricated locally and they used locally sourced materials like Colombian mahogany. - Just like our manufacturing projects, we use Building Information Modeling (BIM) to identify and mitigate design clashes prior to construction on each temple project.

From Greenfield Construction to Disaster Recovery, We Support our Clients 24/7
Haskell has a long relationship with Nestle Waters North America that spans multiple projects in the US, including a plant in Hawkins, TX. - Haskell was initially contracted by Nestle Waters to construct a - greenfield, spring-fed water bottling and distribution facility for the company’s Ozarka Spring brand. - The scope included five miles of spring water line piping, seven borehole buildings and an immediate pumping station. - When a tornado ripped through the facility, damage to the roof and interior walls brought production to a halt. NWNA was facing mounting revenue losses as their seven bottling production lines remained inoperable. - Haskell arrived with urgency, and began repairs that included new structural steel, metal siding, roofing, dock doors and replacement HVAC equipment. Through expert scheduling and execution, our team had the facility back in full production 49 days after the disaster.

BIG LOTS + HASKELL
Engineering and Constructing Solutions for a Massive, LEED Certified Distribution Center
- Haskell has a longtime working relationship with Big Lots. After three successful distribution center projects in Oklahoma, Alabama and Pennsylvania, Big Lots partnered with Haskell for a new 1.3 M SF facility in Apple Valley, CA. - This new facility was compromised of full-height, self-performed, tilt-up concrete panels with steel columns, joists, and girders. - We also installed a cantilevered, full-height, tilt-up, three-hour separation wall bisecting the building’s center to provide additional fire protection. - The team chose to utilize roof decking made from oriented strand board (OSB) for its seismic advantages in the dry climate. We also reinforced specific areas to support the rooftop HVAC equipment. - Our design team incorporated environmentally friendly features, like an occupancy sensor-controlled LED lighting system that only turns on when someone is in the building. These additional green features helped the project achieve LEED v3.0 Certified status.

Building Process and distribution centers to grow a confidential fast-food chain
- Haskell has a long-standing relationship with a growing fast-food chain to design and build facilities for processing and distributing their food ingredients across several states. - Our work for this client includes three 100,000 SF+ greenfield plants as well as some production expansion work. - Components for these greenfield projects included: - Meat Receiving, Meat Processing & Meat Lab - Utility & Support Structures - Warehouse Coolers, Warehouse Driver Area, Warehouse Offices, and Warehouse Space - MIS & Store / Depot Maintenance Areas - Administrative Offices, Guard Shack, Trash Enclosure, WWTP & Fire Pump Room - Haskell also designed and built a wastewater pretreatment plant for one of these facilities that included screening, equalization, chemical adjustment, and dissolved air filtration (DAF) units. - One of our greenfield facilities for this client received a 2019 Design-Build National Award of Merit from DBIA.
Scaling up plant based production from lab to manufacturing
- Haskell was contracted by a confidential client to take their plant-based meat alternative production from a lab to a full-scale commercial production facility. - The client selected an existing 60,000 SF facility and charged Haskell with designing and constructing process and packaging systems to create their plant-based burgers. - The semi-automated process system included multilevel access platforms, piping, pumps, valves, tanks, mixers, transfer panels and CIP system. - The fully automated packaging system included grinding / shredding, mixing, batching, conveyance, forming, sealing, freezing and case packing. - Since completing this EPC project, we have continued to work with this client on several additional projects at this facility in the US and another in Mexico.

Building the first greenfield tobacco plant in the US in 20+ years while also avoiding disaster.
- Haskell was contracted by a confidential tobacco products manufacturer to design and construct a 260,000 SF greenfield tobacco processing facility in Kentucky. - Client was concerned about production disruptions if their primary plant, located in Tornado Alley, was affected by a natural disaster. Haskell helped identify a safe location for a new facility. - Our team created an efficient factory footprint to take raw tobacco product through receiving and blending; conditioning and casing; bulking and cutting; drying, mixing and sifting; cure and rotation; and finally, to shipping where the bulk product would be carried off for individual packaging. - Procured new technology for casing and brine kitchens as well as the sifting and pneumatic loading systems. - Included process systems for: receiving & blending, conditioning & casing, bulking & cutting, drying, mixing & sifting, cure & rotation. - This was the first greenfield tobacco plant built in the US in over 20 years. Since then, we’ve done additional work for this client at another facility in Tennessee.

“We’ve managed some complex spirits projects ranging from the consolidation of production lines between multiple facilities to the conversion of one hundred-year-old grain silo into a state-of-the-art distillery. Each of these successful endeavors has become a pinnacle of achievement for Haskell and our clients. ” - ANTHONY WHITE | DIVISION LEADER - BEER, WINE, & SPIRITS
"Over the last several years, we as a team have made changes to how we execute Engineering and now have had an opportunity to compare it to the rest of the company and prove our way WORKS! WENTE VINEYARDS + HASKELL:
A thoroughly researched and data-driven Master Plan for the best Return on Investment (ROI).
- At Haskell, we believe that master planning is one of the most valuable tools we have to offer our clients. A thoroughly researched and data-driven master plan can help clients like Wente make informed decisions on the best areas to invest their capex for a maximum return. Our team of skilled experts carefully evaluated the current manufacturing systems at Wente and laid out a master plan with recommendations for updating their packaging and process systems, including details on the potential impacts and ROI of each suggested option. As part of the master plan, Haskell provided a proposed order of operations for implementing the packaging and process changes, as well as an estimated ROI in months/years for each upgrade. Recommendations included suggestions for relieving production bottlenecks and reducing labor impacts with some key packaging equipment changes. Additional options were provided to reduce labor and enhance sanitation with new process equipment and automation technology. We also made suggestions for potential facility enhancements that would allow for an expansion with more office and warehouse space.
