Haskell provided integrated design-build services to deliver this 344,000 SF composite aircraft parts manufacturing facility. The building includes Class 100,000 (ISO8) clean rooms, two fan blade lines and one fan case line, -10-degree Fahrenheit raw material freezer and specialized pits and foundations for tomographs, milling machines, CMM and autoclaves. There are also environmentally controlled areas for weaving, injection, water jet, tool cleaning, lab, CMM and bonding operations.

Lufthansa Five-Bay Heavy Maintenance Facility
Macon Water Authority, Macon, GA
This Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility consisted of one downdraft paint bay, four maintenance bays for Airbus A-321 aircraft, offices, aircraft aprons, a taxiway and shop areas on 14.57 acres of site development. Support shops include composite, sanding, paint, MEK, interiors, welding and riveting, sheet metal, heat treatments and tool crib. The 14,281 SF second floor office facility overlooks the hangar. This 69’-8” high structure consists of a conventional steel frame with full overhead crane coverage and hanging tail docks.

The 109,000 SF business jet service center includes a 75,000 SF hangar with
attached aircraft support shop spaces,
offices, aircraft aprons and taxiways.
The service center has a conventional
steel frame and the interior hangar
has a 41’ clear height, 150’ x 426’
clear-span and the hangar door
has a 28’ clear height opening. The
perimeter of the building is concrete
tilt panel and insulated metal panel
wall systems and is equipped with a
high expansion foam fire protection

Air Cargo Facility
Aviation Facilities Company, Inc. (AFCO), Baltimore International Airport, MD
The facility is air cargo transfer station, where workers move packages from airplanes to trucks. The facility is a 1600-foot by 125-foot structure with a tilt-up concrete panel design with clear span interior to accommodate 87 truck doors, 53 dock pits and equipment and fifteen 20-foot x 16-foot airside sectional doors with additional exterior high-speed fabric doors. The project included a 1,000-space parking lot and security fencing.

MAAS Aviation Two-Bay Paint Hangar
MAAS Aviation Brookley, Mobile, AL
This two-bay hangar is capable of painting the largest single aisle commercial aircraft produced by Airbus and Boeing as well as smaller aircraft for commercial or cargo flights. The state-of-the-art facility was contracted on a design-build basis with construction completed in less than one year. The hangar includes environmental controls capable of regulating precise temperature and humidity criteria during preparation and spray painting operations.

Jet Aviation Fixed-Base Operation Facility and Offices
Jet Aviation, Teterboro, NJ
The first two floors of the 45,000 SF FBO facility can accommodate separate pilot and passenger lounges, business offices, food service area, weather station, car rental office and private offices. The upper floors contain Jet Aviation’s headquarter offices, conference rooms and an exercise room. The permitting process completed required coordination with NY/NJ Turnpike Authority and various state agencies.
