COLLABORATIVE DESIGN WITH CLIENTS AND OEMS
Haskell was selected to provide facility engineering services and OEM equipment coordination for an expansion project aimed at increasing production capacity at the Dunkirk, NY facility. The project scope included installation of a new pet treat production line along with a milling system and mixing system. The major equipment included a hammermill, extruder, portioners, cooler, storeveyor, and a stand-up pouch line.
Excellence in Safety
Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment is our number one priority. Our SafeMatters orientation is required for every Haskell employee before engaging in any production activities and each project has its own dedicated safety personnel and site-specific safety plan.
50 MW design-build power plant project featuring six GE Ecomagination qualified 8.6-MW J920 FleXtra ultra-fast response, natural gas-fired reciprocating engine generator sets. Haskell spent 17 months designing and constructing the plant to run at maximum efficiency and provide much-needed flexible power generation to the area. The facility uses no more water than a single residence annually. This was the largest North American power project for GE Jenbacher FleXtra gas engine to date.

Project 3
Haskell completed the construction of a new Lithium ion battery manufacturing facility for Saft. The facility spans 235,200 square feet and is capable of producing 4,800,000 cells annually. It features administrative offices, clean/dry rooms, coating ovens, testing areas, manufacturing spaces, and support facilities. Sustainability was a key focus, with features like photovoltaic electricity generation, stormwater management, and efficient HVAC systems. The project emphasized teamwork, preparation, and effective planning, resulting in LEED Silver certification and showcasing environmentally friendly construction and manufacturing practices.
+
Nike partnered with Haskell to design and construct a new 1.1-million-square-foot distribution facility in Memphis, Tennessee, merging operations from two existing sites while emphasizing sustainability. The project included a master plan for the 125-acre site, accommodating future expansions. The facility boasts environmentally-friendly features such as locally sourced materials, solar tracking skylights, and energy-efficient lighting. Haskell oversaw the project from design to construction, incorporating self-performed concrete work and steel fabrication, while prioritizing local trades and environmental preservation, including relocating an onsite stream. The LEED Silver Certified facility reflects Nike's dedication to sustainability and stands as a flagship distribution center for the renowned brand.
The production facility processes 450,000 MTon per year using 970,000 MTon of green raw material, primarily Southern Yellow Pine. It operates 7,500 hours annually, with 80% of the raw material received in logs and 20% as residual chips. The facility employs a stacker/reclaimer to store and retrieve 2,000,000 cubic feet of chips and 200,000 cubic feet of bark. Emission control is managed by a rotary drum equipped with a Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (WESP) and a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO). Additionally, the facility includes truck and rail load-out capabilities.
